The Opportunity
As the Senior Platform Administrator, you will play a critical role in overseeing the day-to-day administration, configuration, and support of UTS's Digital Workplace platforms. This position offers the opportunity to enhance platform performance, security, and usability by executing upgrades, managing data security, and anticipating future demands through capacity planning.
You will collaborate with internal teams, stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure that platform solutions align with the university's strategic objectives while contributing to innovation and platform optimisation.
A Day in the Life of a Senior Platform Administrator at UTS Oversee platform administration, configuration, and support, ensuring both production and non-production environments are secure and optimized. Diagnose and resolve technical issues or outages, working with cross-functional teams and escalating to vendors when necessary. Monitor platform performance, addressing bottlenecks or vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with security regulations and standards. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to optimize platform configurations and maintain strong relationships for continuous support. Contribute to strategic planning by identifying areas for platform improvement and ensuring future scalability. Maintain comprehensive documentation on platform configurations, processes, and performance, generating reports as needed. Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures to ensure platform resilience. What You'll Need to Succeed Strong experience in configuring and administering M365 (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, Purview) Experience deploying and updating Power Platform CoE Starter Kit Experience configuring Entra App registrations for Graph API permissions Experience building PowerShell scripts, and Azure Logic Apps to automate administration and governance activities, consuming Graph API and O365 Management API Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues and implement innovative solutions to improve platform governance, functionality and performance. Deep understanding of security best practices and experience in maintaining robust security measures. Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors, ensuring platform alignment with business needs. Ability to work in an agile environment, adapting to changing priorities and evolving user requirements while maintaining platform stability. Strong focus on data accuracy, system configuration, and documentation to ensure consistency and reliability in platform operations. Experience in supporting and mentoring junior team members, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment. Commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest platform features, security measures, and industry best practices through continuous learning. Exposure to Miro management APIs or to Atlassian Cloud administration, would be beneficial Remuneration & Benefits A competitive and comprehensive remuneration package will be offered.
This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.
