About the Position: As a Senior Development Planner, you will: Assess and manage complex development proposals, including structure plans and major applications.
Lead strategic projects, such as the Local Heritage Survey and Developer Contribution Plan.
Contribute to the Shires Integrated Growth Framework and Place Planning initiatives.
Provide mentorship and share expertise to develop team capabilities.
Key Responsibilities Include: Assessing complex statutory and strategic planning applications.
Developing policies and strategies to drive sustainable growth.
Reviewing and administering developer contribution plans.
Participating in integrated growth and place planning initiatives.
Preparing professional reports and conducting stakeholder consultations.
Skills and Experience Required: Bachelor of Arts in Urban & Regional Planning (or equivalent).
Minimum of 3 years experience in statutory and/or strategic planning.
Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary environments in local government planning.
Strong research, evaluation, and report-writing skills.
Proficiency in MS Office suite and valid drivers licence.
Experience in policy development, compliance, and appeals processes (highly regarded).
