About Your Opportunity As a Senior Planning and Delivery Engineer, you will provide engineering/technical assistance and support the successful delivery of projects in accordance with Seqwater processes and procedures. Working closely with the Project Manager and Project Team, this role will provide a significant contribution through the design, procurement, preconstruction, construction, and commissioning stages and will help to coordinate and manage project design, cost, environment, program, quality, risk, safety, and scope.
Please Note: This position will initially work on our South West Pipeline Project but will then move across to our Toowoomba to Warwick Pipeline Project - There will be a requirement to travel to site and may require some overnight stays
This role is responsible for: Undertaking engineering and project development activities for water infrastructure projects to efficiently and effectively achieve agreed outcomes. Managing the design, surveillance, and commissioning elements for very complex projects, involving personnel from a variety of professional disciplines. Developing high-quality detailed project briefs, scopes of work, project schedules, and budgets for project planning purposes. Coordinating, managing, and contributing to senior level engineering advice for the timely delivery of strategic assessments, options analysis, preliminary design, and business cases for complex projects. Design management of design consultants and others to ensure efficient, high quality, and technically sound design outcomes. About you To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Tertiary qualifications and professional experience in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Qualifications in project management will be highly regarded. Qualification as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland or Chartered Engineer is required. Unrestricted Drivers Licence for a motor vehicle. Extensive experience in engineering for water infrastructure design and operations with at least 10 years of relevant experience. This position has a salary starting at $144,587 to $156,835 plus 12.75% superannuation dependant on experience and is offered on a 2-year fixed-term contract.
