Join the team as a Senior Planner on our Southwest Metro Corridor Project (SWMC) project, based in Canterbury NSW.
This is a great opportunity to make an impact in rail on a high-profile project as part of one of Australia's most highly regarded construction companies.
You will have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively and be able to foster effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders both internally and externally.
Responsibilities of the role include: Prepare and assess detailed project plans for all stages and facets of project to aid the project in meeting time-driven outcomes. Identify key milestones, prepare daily reports and dashboards, and maintain the project controls database. Ensure monitoring and reporting of Project Controls processes are successfully set-up and implemented on projects. Proactively lead a planning and controls culture across the project based on best practice and with a focus on risk management, cost control and SQE. Early identification and communication of issues and opportunities to the Projects team. People interaction: collaboration, consultation and cooperation with project staff in order to coordinate information flow for the performance of the planning and controls functions, including for the performance of subcontractors. Financial management: Undertake the implementation of project monitoring systems, particularly focussing on time, cost, resources & quality (project controls & earned value). Support Project Managers in report interpretation, analysis of project performance, forward planning and development of corrective actions to maximise project delivery outcomes. To be successful in this key role, you must have: Tertiary degree, preferably in one of the following disciplines - Engineering, Construction, Building, Sciences, Architecture or Project Management, or equivalent experience. 8 years' experience in building, MEP, civil or rail within Australia. Demonstrated application of the principles of planning. Use of planning software & tools such as Primavera Project Planning, Time Chainage Charts, Program Forensic Analysis, Earned Value and Cash Flow Analysis. Experience in project planning delivery on large-scale construction projects – ideally rail projects. We offer: Competitive remuneration with salary continuance, and salary sacrifice options.
