The Company
My Client is a leading dynamic food manufacturing business that prides itself on delivering high-quality, innovative products to customers across Australia. They operate in a fast-paced, complex environment and are in need of a Senior Planner to help drive the planning processes and ensure the smooth running of production operations.
Role & Responsibilities
As the Senior Planner, you will be a key member of a highly reputable supply chain team, responsible for ensuring optimal production scheduling and efficient resource utilisation. Your role will be to create, monitor, and adjust production to meet customer demand while balancing plant capacity, inventory levels, and cost efficiency.
Developing and maintaining long-term and short-term production plans for a complex manufacturing environment. Managing daily production schedules, ensuring alignment with demand forecasts, raw material availability, and capacity constraints. Collaborating closely with operations, sales, and demand planning teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations. Identifying production bottlenecks and working with cross-functional teams to develop mitigation strategies. Leading the S&OP process and driving continuous improvement initiatives in a bid to introduce structure. Mentoring and coaching junior planning team members, providing guidance and development opportunities. Requirements
The ideal candidate will bring a combination of technical expertise and leadership to the role, with a proven track record in production planning and scheduling within the food manufacturing industry.
Strong experience in production planning, with a focus on complex manufacturing lines, preferably in the food and agriculture industry. Strong understanding of production processes, capacity planning, and inventory management principles. Experience with D365 is highly desirable, paired with advanced Excel skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Composed and confident attitude, with an ability to bring order and structure to a fast-paced environment. Leadership experience, with a passion for developing and mentoring team members. Benefits
