Shape the Future of Toowoomba: Lead as a Senior Planner with Us!
Toowoomba Regional Council (Queensland, Australia) is looking to appoint a Senior Planner working in a development assessment role. This is a great opportunity for an experienced town planner to progress to a leadership role. This position is a full-time permanent appointment.
The position has an annual salary of $91,002.71 to $97,075.32 depending on experience, plus four weeks annual leave with 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.
About the role:
As a Level 6 Senior Planner in our development assessment team, you can start your leadership journey while helping to shape the built-form future of our region. This role involves supervision and mentoring to our Level 3-5 planners and other para-planner positions.
In addition, you will also be working on the assessment of large and/or complex development applications against Council's planning scheme.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A Degree in Town Planning, Urban or Regional Planning from an Australian University (or a VET assessed equivalent); At least four years' experience in town planning, development assessment or a related field; Ability to assess and process development applications and prepare associated correspondence and reports; Demonstrated time management and organisational skills; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Comprehensive knowledge of development assessment legislation in Queensland, or the ability to quickly acquire the same due to relevant experience in other jurisdictions or settings; Be committed to Council's values and behaviours of accountability, safety and wellbeing, teamwork, honesty, and respect.
