About the role We are currently seeking a senior planner to join ourRail Operations hub to work on a regional rail project in Western Australia.
This role will operate on a DIDO basis.
Rail Operations is an internal business unit within Laing O'Rourke, specialising in the sole delivery of all aspects of Rail, working with a team of technical experts to deliver a high portfolio of work across Western Australia.

This role is suited to candidates with prior construction, road, rail or heavy industrial engineering exposure and a strong command of P6.
Key responsibilities Assess detailed project and plans for all stages and facets of a projects lifecycle with the view to help deliver project outcomes on time Liaise with project team, project management, client representatives and government agencies to develop solutions and strategies to achieve project and business goals Assisting in the development of strategies to mitigate identified risks. Develop and maintain a realistic schedules of work, basis of schedule and resource management in accordance with best-practice About you Solid exposure in Project Planning & Scheduling across construction, road, rail or heavy industrial engineering sectors Degree in Engineering (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical) or Construction Management or equivalent Existing knowledge of construction techniques, methodologies, and processes A strong command of P6 Benefits We work hard to create an environment that brings out the best in our people.
