Wood is recruiting for a Senior Piping Engineer with proven brownfield oil and gas experience to join our Operations business based in Perth, Western Australia. This is a permanent role and is available on a full-time / part-time (job share) basis. Wood's "Operations" APAC West business delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation, and technical services to the Oil & Gas industry and enjoys long-term partnerships with some of the region's most prominent producers located in Western Australia, Northern Territory, and Southeast Asia.

You will be an Australian citizen or hold Permanent Residency (PR) to work lawfully in Australia. Suitably qualified in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised institution, ideally you will be a Piping engineering professional with 6+ years of experience within an EPCM / design engineering office environment.
In addition, you will have: Relevant brownfield Oil & Gas engineering experience (Concept, FEED, and Detailed Design). Field experience and capable of undertaking site visits (Onshore or Offshore) when required. An ability to apply the relevant technical practices, codes, and standards appropriate to the Piping Engineering discipline. Experience managing risk during the design process consistent with safety, technical, and commercial requirements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in multi-disciplined culturally diverse teams. Well-developed technical report writing skills and excellent knowledge of MS Office applications, spreadsheets, and commercial engineering programs. A "solutions mindset" with an ability to work under pressure and still deliver within a challenging and complex industry environment. What will set you apart will be your emerging leadership experience managing small teams of Engineers / Designers. Exposure to client-facing roles is also advantageous but not essential.
