We're seeking emerging clinical leaders in physiotherapy, who wish to demonstrate progressive values-based leadership skills in a complex and busy, yet rewarding and supportive quaternary hospital ICU. We are looking for a Senior Physiotherapist with relevant clinical ICU physiotherapy experience, who enjoys working alongside senior staff to lead, teach, orientate, allocate clinical duties and support clinical staff; including 8 full-time equivalent, rotational P1 team members.
There is a fixed term contract available from August 2024. This process will also be used to fill like vacancies (including potential permanent positions) during the period of the pool.
We are looking for someone that demonstrates the SMHS values and shows a commitment to continuous improvement. Along with navigating a complex team, and multidisciplinary environment, you'll have the opportunity to help shape and improve our service. The position offers regular professional development and professional support in both clinical and professional skills within the physiotherapy department, and the larger interdisciplinary team.
The role provides advanced level clinical care in our 40 bed ICU to patients in four pods including cardiothoracic & surgical, high dependency, medical and long stay. The ICU team also supports FSH to deliver specialised service including heart and lung transplantations and the State Adult Burns Service, and provides out-of-hours physiotherapy services across the hospital and the State Rehabilitation Service.
Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers specialised services such as heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine.
