The Role:The Senior Pharmacist is responsible for performing a range of regulatory tasks requiring professional judgement and discretion in relation to the safe delivery of vaccinations programs provided by pharmacists in Tasmania.
Under the broad control and direction of the Nurse Manager - Immunisation and as a senior professional specialist:
Undertake a range of tasks in accordance with legislation and established policies and procedures, including the exercise of delegations and authorisations issued by the Director of Public Health.Exercise sound professional judgement and discretion in dealing with pharmacists with the objective of achieving compliance with regulatory legislation and policies.Provide professional advice on the development of policy and legislation.The Team:The Immunisation team sit within the Communicable Disease Prevention Unit (CDPU) in Public Health Services.
The primary purpose of CDPU is prevention and control of communicable diseases within Tasmania, including mitigation of associated risks and threats.
The CDPU is a multi-disciplinary unit, including medical, nursing, allied health and support staff and is structured into three teams; Immunisation, Communicable Disease Response, including Infection Prevention and Control and Health Intelligence - Epidemiology, Health Informatics and Database Administration.
Details of appointment:Fixed term full time, day worker, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing ASAP until 30 June 2025.
Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Salary:$120,114 to $130,181 per annum.
Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No.
2 of 2022.Please note that access to salaries beyond $126,845 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme.In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
