Senior People & Culture Business Partner Seeking a Senior HR professional for a local government council in Central Queensland.

This local government organisation has an opportunity for a Senior People & Culture Business Partner to join the high performing HR team.
Your new role
Reporting to the HR Lead, your responsibilities will include:
Build positive and effective working relationships with employees at all levels.
Drive business performance through partnering with leaders to build and lead highly effective teams, drive change and guide their team through key people initiatives.
Support and advise on complex Employee Relations and Industrial Relations matters.
Conduct investigations on breach of policies and performance related issues.
Act as a conduit between your operational business units and the People & Performance team to continuously improve people's policies and practices.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will require:
A comprehensive understanding of the human resources legislative framework, including the ability to interpret and apply relevant awards, certified agreements, legislative and regulatory requirements.
Ability to review and modify Policy and Procedures to ensure relevance and compliance in accordance with the Corporate Policy and Procedure Guidelines.
Extensive experience in providing HR generalist advice within large, complex organisations.
A proven ability to interpret legislation, and investigate industrial relations and workplace matters.
A high degree of emotional intelligence with the ability to consult with employees at all levels.
Exceptional communication and report writing skills, with the confidence and capability to present to internal and external stakeholders.
Intermediate computer and systems skills to document, analyse data, and report appropriately.
