About the Role...
Due to continued growth of the P&C team, this is a full-time role, reporting to the Chief People Officer (also Melbourne based).
You will be part of a high-performing People & Culture team of seven in the Melbourne office.
Your role as Senior P&C Business Partner is to deliver effective and efficient P&D services to Partners and staff of the firm, including expert specialist advice, strategic consulting, and coaching.
You will have 4 direct reports, overseeing and leading P&D Advisors, working collaboratively to achieve the P&D strategy and related business goals.
Your responsibilities will be varied, which may include:
Develop and lead strategic plans to optimise people operational initiatives;
Lead group Partner meetings, strategic consultations and complex employee relations matters;
Provide expert and commercially sound advice to the P&C team and Partners to facilitate and influence best practice outcomes;
Collaborate on the establishment and delivery of employee engagement and development initiatives and programs;
Build collaborative stakeholder relationships to enhance employee experience;
Help develop and promote P&C policies, procedures, programs & initiatives;
Build strong and enduring relationships with staff at all levels within the firm;
Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team to manage recruitment needs;
Under the guidance of the Risk and Compliance team, ensure all activities undertaken by P&C comply with relevant Acts, legal requirements and ethical standards.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Minimum 5 years experience in a P&C Business Partner level role;
Experience gained in a law firm ideal, alternatively experience within a leading professional services firm (e.g., accounting and/or engineering) are encouraged to apply;
Previous experience supervising other members within the P&C team;
Strong employee relations experience;
Excellent communication skills at all levels and a strong client service focus;
Appetite to improve processes;
Strong 'hands on' style with the ability to motivate and influence others;
Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities;
'Team player' ethos and have a high level of discretion, integrity and commitment to the company's standards.
