People & Culture Advisor role within Swinburne University Full time, 6-month position at our Hawthorn campus HEW 8 salary + 17% super About the Role The Senior People & Culture Advisor position at Swinburne University of Technology is a key role within the People and Culture Business Partnering team.
This role is specifically crafted for a six-month duration to offer specialised advice and assistance to business partners, leaders across the university and employees.
The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with Business Partners and the Director to provide credible and pragmatic advice and solutions that optimise workforce performance and culture and support the achievement of business objectives The role will undertake advisory tasks across various portfolios and HR matters including but not limited to managing employee relations issues, job design and classification, data reporting and insights, change management and responding to queries from leaders and employees alike.
The Business Partnering team is a close knit team who collaborate daily to share knowledge, problem solve and support one another and is the perfect environment for a people and culture professional who values the same.

About You To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: Experience in a senior HR advisory role, preferably within a medium sized organisation and in a unionised environment Strong knowledge of Australian employment laws and HR best practices Strong experience with interpretating and applying Enterprise Agreements, organisational policies and procedures.
Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities Proven ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field About Swinburne University of Technology Swinburne Horizon 2025 draws upon our understanding of future challenges.
