Fixed Term Full-Time until March 2025 (9 day fortnight) Bachelor level qualifications in Human Resources. LGO8 ($113,644 - $128,384 per annum + superannuation) based on skills, qualifications and experience. About the Role This position is accountable to the General Manager People and Culture and will be focused on the needs and aspirations of the Townsville community; growing and managing customer relationships, developing a culture of customer-centricity and personal accountability; and reshaping how we deliver services to maximise value.
This position will drive performance as a trusted consultative business partner, support managers to successfully deliver on their people development responsibilities and build internal capability to meet goals, operate efficiently, support change and the workforce, and build a reputation for quality decision-making. This position will also work collaboratively with managers to understand complex business and talent pressures; translate the business strategy into people-focused initiatives; shape and influence business strategy and develop leadership capabilities.
About You Our ideal applicant will have expert knowledge of contemporary human resource/employee relations management practices, interpretation of legislation and industrial instruments and demonstrated ability to apply these to a broad range of HR issues in a complex environment with significant experience operating within a highly unionised workforce and managing complex industrial matters.
