Description We're looking for a passionate, dedicated, and people-focused individual to use their excellent interpersonal skills to work with a growing team and provide professional P&C support to senior managers, leaders, and team members. Reporting directly to the Managing Director – Operations, you will play a pivotal and key role in various People functions, providing strategic and tactical support, guidance, and advice.
Key responsibilities: Act as the subject matter expert for all people-related elements for the company. Develop national People and Capability strategies, processes, and practices that deliver a positive working environment and highly valued and capable team members. Optimise, manage, and maintain People and Capability operating systems, processes, and practices to ensure that they provide appropriate, clear, practical, and pragmatic instruction, guidance, and support to leaders and team members. Monitor current and future local and national employment law and remunerations trends, changes, and performance, and provide advice and guidance to senior management and leaders on potential areas of concern and improvement. Generate and maintain suitable and appropriate People and Capability metrics that provide a clear overview of performance, trends, and areas for improvement. Engage in business partnering with leaders providing effective advice, guidance, and support to enable them to manage their teams effectively. Lead the People and Capability team to ensure the delivery of effective, proactive, and high-quality service to internal customers. Maintain current and future People and Capability processes and documentation to relevant employment law standards and requirements. Act as a coach to leaders to assist them in the improvement of their people management skills and capability. Oversee day-to-day activities and annual processes, and design and implement projects, programs, policies, and procedures that support the strategic direction of the People and Capability team.
