About North Western Program AllianceNorth Western Program Alliance (NWPA) consists of three Alliance partners – John Holland, KBR and MTM and the client (LXRP), working together as one team to achieve shared goals. 

NWPA has a proven track record with the successful delivery of four level crossing removal projects, several premium stations, three projects currently in delivery and two in development phase.

We are currently looking for an experienced Senior People Advisor to join us within our NWPA project, located at our Albion office in Sunshine, VIC. 
About the PositionWhilst you will be initially based on the North Western Program Alliance, this is a permanent career opportunity with John Holland.
As a Senior People Advisor, you will provide human resource management support and advice to Projects across the Alliance, including guidance on recruitment, onboarding, training and development, performance management, remuneration and cultural diversity. 
Reporting to the Senior People Manager, you will join an experienced People team with a supportive culture and focus on collaboration and success.
Key Responsibilities:Provide general assistance to the Human Resource function in the implementation of HR strategies and projects Partner with the People Lead to provide operational support and advice in relation to emerging and top talentBuild positive relationships through influence and negotiation with employees, managers, subcontractors, and external stakeholder groups across the businessDeliver presentations, facilitate meetings, welcome inductions and training workshops, and engage with various work groups to achieve desired outcomesContinuously seek ways of improving processes and strive towards efficient ways of workingAssist to obtain recommendations on salary benchmarking and remunerations packagesSupport the development and delivery of people development initiatives, e.g. webinars, presentations, networking events, workshops and broader programsProvide counselling and support to managers and employees with regard to problems affecting work performanceProvide support regarding people capability queries (induction, onboarding, performance management and development planning)Develop and coordinate programs as required for the successful delivery and execution of learning and development requirementsImplementation of training and development initiatives in the organisationGenerate reports from various databases, which may include information on training and development and performance management, and make recommendations to employees and managersTo be successful in this key role:More than 3 years' experience in a People/HR Advisor role or similarDemonstrate knowledge and understanding of national and state regulatory frameworks Knowledge of contractual and commercial awareness Knowledge of employment legislation, including government policyExperience in HR project work, leading an initiative or desired outcomeExperience in to Learning and Development highly regarded, eg. development of training programsConduct training needs analysis and propose recommended solutions Strong interpersonal skills and social awareness with proven stakeholder management experience in an advisory levelWhat you'll get in return?Join one of Australia's leading Alliance's to deliver critical Projects that make a real difference to the lives of people on our program of works and in the communities in which we operate Work with and learn from leading industry experts to develop and progress your careerDeliver innovative, unique and award-winning Projects you're proud to say "I helped build that"A driven and supportive culture that truly lives the NWPA values Care, Excellence, Creativity and EmpowermentMonthly Reward & Recognition Awards to recognise outstanding employee and team achievementsAlliance annual 'A Great Day' event Access to WHEREFIT, a partnership between John Holland and over 400 gyms and fitness studios, to receive exclusive corporate discounts of up to 50% offJohn Holland's flexible working arrangements.
