The Enterprise Business Solutions (EBS) Section supports the automation of business process management (BPM)for the Department via the delivery of ICT business solutions on enterprise-wide strategic platforms. These strategicPega Platforms for Home Affairs, facilitate the streamlining and automation of repeatable business activities,allowing staff to reallocate their time to perform more valuable tasks.
The Section achieves its goals and delivers on its objectives through:
- The establishment and ongoing management of strategic enterprise-wide platforms for the Department
- The delivery of enterprise capability (applications) to support strategic business solutions along with theprovision of technical support for the applications and platforms
- The promotion of enterprise-wide quality engineering through Pega Best Practice design guidance andPega Design and Development reviews via the Pega Quality & Enablement Centre of Excellence
- The development of internal capability and provision of training and enablement for the Pega communityacross the Department - building a network of skilled APS Pega resources internally and supporting overallcapability across government.
The Senior Pega System Developers will be working with the Principal and Lead Pega System Developers to build,install, upgrade as well as monitor, troubleshoot and provide ongoing maintenance of the EBS Pega Platform andCloud Pega Platform.Criteria
Essential criteria
1. Holds a Pega Senior System Architect certification, or higher and 2+ years experience working as a Pega Senior Developer/System Architect on Pega Platform and/or Cloud Pega Platforms.
2. Demonstrated experience in owning and delivering Pega enterprise capability and solutions that are actively used in a Production context.
3. Possess a deep knowledge of Pega capabilities and Pega Technology components and knowledge of integrating Pega with other technologies.
4. Ability to: - Drive development best practices and guardrails and monitor adherence. - Understand the current/future requirements and design class structure, ruleset design and case types to drive enterprise reusability. - Tune Pega application for optimal performance and drive design for performance.
5. Strong coaching/mentoring skills in technical contexts, including the ability to coach a team of Pega developers to drive efficiency and quality delivery.
6. Demonstrated experience and/or knowledge of Commonwealth Government governance structures.
Desirable criteria
1. Ability to produce efficient and highly optimised SQL queries within Pega including the ability to support a design data model of the solution. Proven experience in designing and creating application reports, and Load and Performance testing of Pega applications. Proficient in developing UI's inside and outside of Pega.
2. Ability to lead a team of developers to drive efficiency & quality delivery, including the ability to conduct build review self-assessments and peer assessments.
3. Ability to design applications and application components for larger systems. As well as, support transition in service artefacts and activities.
4. Effective stakeholder management skills and demonstrated experience with the ability to understand business requirements and convert to working Pega applications.What to submit
