Our core values include:• Continue to Learn• Share the JourneyWe value continuous learning, mutual encouragement, and strong team connections.What You Will Do:Payroll & ComplianceOversee and conduct end-to-end payroll processing, including salary calculations, deductions, and benefits administration.Ensure compliance with Australian tax regulations, superannuation requirements, and other statutory obligations.Manage payroll systems, ensuring data integrity and performing system upgrades when required.Monitor and address payroll discrepancies, providing prompt resolutions.Stay updated on changes in Australian payroll laws and implement updates as necessary.Partner with HR to integrate payroll data for new hires, terminations, and status changes.Work with the finance team to reconcile payroll records with financial accounts.Work and communicate with client contacts responding to complex payroll enquiries, providing accurate and timely responses.Attend client meetings as required.Work with internal and external stakeholders to optimise processes through effective documentation, systemisation and automation.Share your knowledge and learnings through mentoring, leadership and training of other staff members.ReportingPrepare and submit payroll reports, including taxation and benefits filings, to internal stakeholders and external authorities.Conduct payroll audits to ensure compliance and accuracy.Conduct checking reports and monthly reporting frameworks for clients.EducationBachelors degree in Accounting, HR, Finance or other related field.Specialist payroll certification beneficial but not necessary.Skills & Experience:Minimum of 5 years' experience in multiple client-facing payroll role, ideally within the Not-for-Profit sector.Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines.High level of empathy and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.Collaborative and independent work capability.Well-organised with strong attention to detail and good time management.Sound ability to interpret complex EBAs and multiple AwardsProficiency in payroll systems such as Employment Hero, Tanda, and Xero.Experience with PowerQuery, automation, and AI technologies, is advantageousKnowledge and experience of NZ Payroll processes, is advantageous.Why Join Us?We are a team of passionate, purpose driven professionals who enjoy working flexibly to make a difference in the world and the NFP sector.
