Senior Payroll Specialist

Lawson Elliott is excited to be working alongside a well-recognised organisation who is looking to welcome a confident and experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to join their team!

They are looking for someone to take their business and payroll processes to the next level, which will be an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate, well driven and has a willingness to develop and succeed in a fast-paced environment.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, your key responsibilities will be, but are not limited to:
Manage end-to-end payroll processing for 1000+ employeesEnsure compliance with statutory requirementsInterpretation, testing and application of modern awards and payroll system configurationsPrepare forms and reports in relation to payroll deductionsCoach and lead the Payroll team (currently 2)Evaluations and enhancement of payroll processesMaintain and update payroll and time & attendance rulesLiaising with internal and external stakeholdersTo be considered for this role, it would be advantageous to have:
At least 5+ years of experience in a similar roleAt least 3+ years of experience leading a team of payroll professionalsStrong communication and interpretation skillsExperience using software packages such as Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent attention to detail and accuracySound knowledge around Industrial Awards and AgreementsIf this opportunity sounds like a role you'd excel in, please do not hesitate to get in touch!
