Exciting government opportunity in the CBD - Part time Your new company NSW State Government department are seeking a Senior Payroll Project Officer for a dynamic 6-month contract role to Lead the tail end payroll transition project to bring their payroll inhouse. Your new role The main priority of this contract is to - Ensure seamless integration of a new system, tailored to meet future business needs. Collaborate with HR and external contractors to partially bring payroll in-house. Test existing modules in current and new systems to ensure compliance with EBA/Award/Agreement and be key within ongoing payroll projects including process improvement and optimisation. Day to day you will also – Process periodic pay cycles, Manage superannuation reconcile monthly payroll tax and payments, onboarding and statutory obligations Reconcile payroll payments for external reporting, including disclosures in Financial Statements. Prepare and reconcile payroll, PAYE, FBT, Superannuation, Workers Compensation, and other statutory payments Address payroll enquiries from business stakeholders and employees. Financial reporting Assist with reconciliation of payroll payments for external reporting, including disclosures in the Financial Statements What you'll need to succeed Demonstrated end-to-end Payroll experience in medium/large corporate or professional service environments. In-depth technical knowledge of Payroll systems, PAYG, Payroll Tax, FBT, salary sacrificing, superannuation, statutory frameworks, and legislative requirements. Extensive experience with ADP Payroll systems, including employee self-service, with at least 5 years' payroll experience. Ability to interpret EBA and employment contract provisions and apply them effectively.
