Senior Payroll Project Officer - Temporary Opportunity (Jan 6 - Mar 31)An interesting and varied Senior Payroll/Systems role to start the new year off with. CBD Fringes, onsite car parking and hybrid working arrangements.Reporting directly to the People Systems Lead, this role involves supporting the team with various payroll and HR system tasks. It's an exciting opportunity for someone with strong payroll experience, attention to detail, and advanced technical skills.Key Responsibilities:EA Interpretation & Business Rule Audits: Audits and checks of Time & Attendance systems to ensure compliance.Backpay Reconciliations & Input: Reconcile and process backpays with accuracy and efficiency.Data Handling & Reporting: Run and manipulate payroll-related reports and data to ensure precision.CSV API Files: Prepare CSV files for upload with detailed instructions to facilitate payroll processing.Mail Merge Data Lists: Organize and prepare data for mail merge operations.System Testing: Test pay rules in the Time & Attendance system to ensure payroll accuracy.General Payroll Support: Assist with rate changes, leave reconciliations, termination calculations, and other payroll tasks as required.What's in it for you?Flexible Work Arrangements: Monday to Wednesday in the office and Thursday and Friday working from home.Convenient Location: Based near St Kilda Road, with onsite free car parking.Flexible Temporary Role: Opportunity to work from January to March with potential for extension.Supportive Team Environment: Work with a collaborative team in a fast-paced yet rewarding role.Variety of Duties: A dynamic role that spans payroll processing, system audits, and data analysis.About You:Payroll Experience: Proven end to end experience, including backpay and reconciliations. High volume, complex payroll environments.Award/Enterprise Agreement Knowledge: Strong understanding of EA interpretation and compliance.Attention to Detail: A sharp eye for detail to ensure accuracy across all payroll and system-related tasks.Advanced Excel & Intermediate Word Skills: Proficient in Excel for data manipulation and reporting, and intermediate Word, including mail merge.Calm Under Pressure: A calm, unflappable nature, able to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.Experience with Payroll/Time & Attendance Systems: Prior exposure to relevant payroll systems is highly advantageous.Adaptability: Flexibility to take on a range of tasks and adjust to changing requirements.Analytical Skills: Strong analytical thinking to troubleshoot discrepancies and offer solutions.To apply online please click on the appropriate link and send your resume in WORD format.
