Analyse, investigate and resolve complex payroll processing problems to meet agreed time standards. Accurately perform payroll functions including rostering and HR master data maintenance in a timely manner. Process master data and rostering adjustments in payroll systems in accordance with payroll standard business processes and relevant industrial legislation. Work collaboratively with other team members within Payroll Services to ensure efficient quality client focused services are provided, by mentoring and providing advice or assistance as required. Identify skills gaps within the team and provide advice to management on development areas as required. Build and maintain relationships with line managers, other payroll service teams and clients of Payroll Services. Lead the team in liaising with clients and responding to customer enquiries to meet resolution timeframes. Provide accurate data and reporting to line managers to enable efficient workforce management. Contribute to achieving processing efficiencies and business improvement to optimise customer service and improve service delivery. Key Competencies: You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following: Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary Human Resource Management issues, as well as the ability to access and interpret relevant industrial awards, agreements, statutory regulations, and legislation relating to payroll. Demonstrated advanced conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities in relation to complex payroll and establishment issues including utilising a risk management approach to the prioritisation and management of complex cases. Proven ability to support and mentor payroll staff and contribute to ongoing individual and team development and effectiveness and the achievement of agreed performance objectives. Demonstrated advanced interpersonal, communication and client services skills with a diverse range of clients.
