Job DescriptionThe Role
Automic Group are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual with stand-alone payroll experience to join our Internal Finance team. As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with legislation, processing payroll changes, resolving discrepancies, and managing employee records.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. If you are a logical thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities Comply with relevant awards and legislation for payroll processingPreparation and timely delivery of pay slips and annual payment summariesProcess new employee contracts, changes, promotions, transfers, and terminationsManage Superannuation Choice funds and leave entitlements for employeesResolve payroll issues and discrepancies, and maintain employee recordsEnsure accurate recording of bills, employee expense reimbursements, and accounts payable functionsWork closely with Finance departments on payroll and financial mattersAssist with month-end reporting, balance sheet reconciliationsDesired Skills and ExperienceDemonstrated Capabilities Experience in medium-sized payroll (250+ employees)Ability to independently run payroll processes end-to-endStrong understanding of relevant legislation and compliance requirementsExperience with payroll system go-live, time recording system and process mapping projectsModern Award interpretation and annualised salary reconciliationsExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsAttention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectivelyProficiency in ELMO (Keypay), NetSuite, ExcelDiversity
