About your new job:
• Working in a busy environment with a supportive culture the role would suit a highly experienced Payroll Officer.
• Managing weekly and monthly payrolls for approximately 600 employees
• Process staff commissions and bonuses
• Handling and resolving payroll queries and providing advice
• Processing payroll adjustments – ad-hoc manual payments
• Setting up new starters and ensuring the accuracy of information
• Process termination payments in accordance with the required legislation
• Reconcile worker's compensation and prepare wage estimates
• Month-end reporting and prepare reports for finance & HR
• Complete and process annual PAYG summaries
• Assist with ongoing projects in relation to system/process/procedure improvement as required.
• Ad-hoc tasks as required.
About You:
To be successful in this position you will ideally have exposure in the following:
• A proven track record in the area of payroll management – ideally within a full function/end to end or a stand-alone capacity
• Knowledge and understanding of Australian employment law and interpreting Awards & EBAs
• Previous experience in high-volume payroll processing
• Exposure to large payroll systems – ideally Micropay
• Strong communication skills and the ability to partner with relevant departments
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
