Job Description Reporting into our Payroll Manager and working closely with our Payroll Officer, your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Payroll Processing Managing and overseeing the preparation and processing of our Australian payroll, including both monthly and fortnightly cycles.
Ensure timely and accurate salary and wage disbursements as per company policies, Awards, and Employment Contracts.
Working with outsourced service providers and managing the payroll processing requirements for foreign jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with respective legislation/regulations where applicable.
Payroll Compliance Maintaining compliance with legislative requirements such as PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax, and employment standards.
Ensuring adherence to tax regulations and other statutory requirements.
Payroll System Management Utilising and maintaining the payroll aspects of our HCM and payroll systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency in payroll processing.
Payroll Accounting Accurately prepare and post payroll-related accounting journal entries, ensuring alignment with financial reporting requirements.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including HR, finance, and employees to provide guidance and address payroll-related queries.
Provide advice and support on complex payroll issues and act as the escalation point for the Payroll Officer.
Identify areas for improvement within payroll processes and work with stakeholders to implement changes for enhanced performance and compliance.
Foster a culture of continual professional development and process optimisation in the payroll function.
Leadership & Development Provide leadership and guidance to the Payroll Officer, offering mentorship and training to support their professional growth.
Promote a positive and supportive team environment within the payroll department.

Qualifications Detail-oriented with a strong focus on data accuracy and consistency.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills (especially Microsoft Excel).
What you bring: Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a payroll role with exposure to both domestic and foreign payroll processing.
Demonstrated experience in handling complex payroll scenarios including compliance with legislative and Award requirements.
Strong leadership skills and experience managing or mentoring junior team members.
Proficiency in payroll and HCM systems, with advanced Excel skills.
