This position is an integral role within the business assisting the Payroll Systems and Compliance Specialist to deliver an accurate and timely fortnightly payroll for Council's workforce.
Work collaboratively with the HR Business Partners and the Payroll Team to ensure consistant and accurate Award and Certified Agreement interpretations.
Whilst working as part of a team, the Senior Payroll Officer will apply a deep understanding of Council's Human Capital Management solution peopleHUB, in particular the Time & Attendance solution, Dayforce, which includes automated award interpretation
Work with the HR Business Systems Team to formulate reports covering a wide range of workforce statistics pertaining to the organisation.
You will have experience investigating complex pay anomalies, undertake calculations for special work arrangements and develop solutions.
About you As the successful candidate, you will possess substantial knowledge and experience in managing payroll in a medium to large organisation with applied knowledge of relevant tax and superannuation matters and the ability to interpret awards and agreements.
Additionally, you will hold a Diploma level qualification in Human Resource Management or Payroll Administration or other relevant field.
Demonstrate the ability to review and improve processes, apply numeracy skills to perform calculations and reconcile figures. You will have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in a high volume processing environment and an ability to meet deadlines and work well under time pressures.
Having experience with SAP SuccessFactors and Employee Central Payroll is considered highly favourable.
