We partner with customers and suppliers who can demonstrate their ESG credentials.
The materials we produce are a critical input to global decarbonisation efforts and it is our responsibility to produce them with the lowest possible carbon footprint and manage the environmental impact at every stage.
For this reason, at our Kathleen Valley operation, we have made a significant upfront capital investment via our energy partner, Zenith Energy, to ensure that at least 60% of our start-up energy requirements will come from renewable energy, from what is currently expected to be the largest off-grid wind-solar-battery storage hybrid power station for a mining project in Australia.
As the world transitions to a low-carbon future, we aim to be part of the solution, not contribute to the problem.
