Senior Payroll Officer

Join a dynamic organisation dedicated to supporting a large, local network of businesses in an ever-growing sector! The Senior Payroll Officer will play a key role in delivering end-to-end payroll services and supporting payroll operations and compliance needs. This position is a vital part of a collaborative team working to provide excellent payroll administration and support.

Duties of the Role:
Manage the end-to-end payroll function, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure timely payroll processing.
Perform payroll transactions, including pay increments, back-pay calculations, termination payments, and salary packaging.
Interpret Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and contracts to calculate staff entitlements.
Assist with month-end processes, including salary and leave accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
Collaborate with the Payroll Manager on taxation matters and provide support as needed.
Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries promptly.
Maintain strict privacy and confidentiality in all payroll-related activities.
Undertake additional duties as assigned to support organisational goals.

What we are looking for:

Demonstrated experience in end-to-end payroll processing.
Strong knowledge of Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and statutory payroll requirements.
High attention to detail and accuracy in payroll calculations and record-keeping.
Exceptional customer service skills with a proactive and responsive approach.
Strong organisational and time-management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Commitment to maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities and deliver results.
