About the role: In this role, you will be responsible for the timely processing and payment to Apprentices and Trainees. Efficient payroll management is of importance as well as maintenance of the payroll data and files and be knowledgeable of all relevant awards.
You will play an important role by providing expert advice to internal and external customers on all matters relating to the instruments we employee apprentices and trainees under. Further, you will assist in solving complex requests and issues, and drive professional and informative communication standards.
Main Responsibilities: Accurate processing of apprentice and trainees payWorking knowledge of relevant AwardsInvoicing Employer PartnersOverseeing enquires that come via our customersOur ideal candidate has skills and experience in: Manage & process weekly Apprentices & Trainees payrollProcess relevant Taxation and Superannuation paymentsPeriodically advises on and monitors remuneration payable and paid to Apprentices and TraineeProvide first contact for industrial relations issues. Providing accurate and timely industrial relations advice and award/agreement/legislation interpretationMaintains Apprentice and Trainee 'Charge-out' ratesStudy and interpret relevant legislation and awards, ensuring compliance with all relevant employee legislative requirements and update departments / manuals as required to reflect changes in legislationProcess termination payments accurately and as requiredInvoicing Employer Partners after each payroll runImplementation of payroll systems changesPeriodically refreshes own training in own role in aspects of IR Legislation, Awards etc.Any other duties as required.
