The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Payroll Officer to join our team. The Senior Payroll Officer is responsible for being an initial contact point for Payroll Support Officers for complex payroll enquiries and/or payroll solution processing guidance. This role will also contribute to the ongoing improvement of the payroll processing function in respect to business and system processes and other payroll-related activities and requirements.
This role is Full-Time on a maximum term contract for 12 months.
Your day-to-day
No two days are the same; this role is diverse, with depth and breadth to cement your career, now and into the future. Areas of core responsibility include, but are not limited to:
Identify training opportunities and deliver training to foster processing excellence and a continuous learning culture within the payroll team.Actively encourage team participation and input into payroll-related system or payroll-specific business processes to drive continuous quality improvement.Maintain and promote confidentiality of payroll-related records and documentation.Provide an encouraging and supportive initial contact point for Payroll Support Officers to seek advice and instruction on payroll-related processing and business processes.Monitor and report compulsory training completion of the payroll team and encourage completion of this training prior to the date of expiration.Investigate and provide timely and quality resolutions to complex payroll-related enquiries for G8 Team Members.Support the payroll leadership team to complete complex payroll-related tasks including running the pay, superannuation, payroll tax, and end of month processing.
