We provide support to people with a disability, in their homes and in the community.We now have an opportunity for a Senior Payroll Officer to join our head office finance team able to undertake full end-to-end payroll processing.Reporting to the Payroll Manager your role will be to provide accurate and timely payroll services, advice and support to all employees and managers within CPL. We use the Aurion Payroll system.Your responsibilities will include:End to end payroll processing, including payroll preparation, processing and reconciliation.Review and ensure compliance with payroll policies, procedures and regulations.Serve as the escalation point for payroll queries, addressing complex cases, discrepancies, and high-level inquiries.Investigate and resolve payroll issues, liaising with internal departments and external parties as needed.Collaborate with the Payroll Manager to support project initiatives, including system updates, process improvements, and compliance projects.Provide day-to-day guidance, support and mentorship to payroll officers, fostering a collaborative and efficient team.Identify opportunities for process improvements, particularly in the use of Aurion, to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency.Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, award agreements, taxation and superannuation obligations.Prepare and provide accurate payroll reports to management, maintaining clear documentation of all payroll processes and changes.Selection Criteria:Demonstrated experience in end-to-end payroll processing in a similar sized organisation.Strong understanding of the SCHADs Award (desirable).Experience and skills with large payroll systems essential (Aurion preferred).Ability to handle complex payroll escalations.Indepth knowledge of Australian Payroll legislation and the ability to apply it accurately.Experience with identifying efficiency improvements.Strong attention to detail and solid organisation skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to provide payroll advice to CPL employees and managers.NDIS clearance and Working with Children check will be required to start.Why would I choose CPL?When you join our team, you can benefit from the following:Opportunities for Flexible Work: At CPL, we believe work should fit seamlessly into your life, not the other way around.
