Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join their team in the heart of Brisbane CBD. This opportunity is initial a three month temporary assignment, with a strong likelihood to progress long term based on performance in the role.
This role is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in payroll operations and a deep understanding of Aurion systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supervising the payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. What you'll do: As the Senior Payroll Officer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of our client's payroll operations. Your responsibilities will include managing the payroll process to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies as well as local, state, and federal laws. You will handle the calculation, processing, and distribution of employee salaries while maintaining accurate records.
Oversee all aspects of payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and relevant regulationsHandle the calculation, processing, and distribution of employee salaries, wages, bonuses, and deductionsMaintain accurate records of employee earnings, deductions, and hours worked, ensuring confidentiality and securityAddress payroll-related inquiries from employees, managers, and external stakeholders, resolving any discrepancies or disputesGenerate payroll reports and conduct analysis to support decision-making processes, budgeting, and forecastingWhat you bring: The ideal candidate for this Senior Payroll Officer position brings extensive experience in managing payroll operations within a large organisation. Essential to this role is your strong knowledge of Aurion systems. You have an excellent understanding of payroll laws at local, state, and federal levels which ensures compliance in all aspects of your work.
Proven experience as a Senior Payroll Officer or similar role within a large organisationStrong knowledge of Aurion systems is essentialExcellent understanding of payroll laws and regulations at local, state, and federal levelsAbility to maintain accurate records of employee earnings, deductions, and hours workedStrong interpersonal skills to address payroll-related inquiries from various stakeholdersAboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are encouraged to apply.
