Our client, a leading provider of health services across Australia, is seeking a dedicated and motivated Senior Payroll Officer to join their team.
Based on the outskirts of the CBD, this is a crucial role within the business and is responsible for managing a national end to end payroll function for a large employee base.
They offer a supportive and welcoming workplace culture, with hybrid working arrangements available once the role can be carried out autonomously.
This position is available on a full-time basis or 4 days per week, initially on a temporary basis for 3 months, with the potential for extension.
The Role:
Reporting to the CFO, duties include:
Maintain the payroll system and employee recordsReview and verify authorised time sheets and salaries time sheetsReview, process and certify the fortnightly payroll and one-off paysProcess termination and redundancy paymentsMaintain superannuation schedules and payroll-related costing and allocationsPerform payroll and general ledger reconciliationsInterpretation of awards and legislation and perform the correct applicationBuild and maintain strong collaborative working relationships with business unitsSolving system queries and data integrity work as requiredContribute to continuous improvement of the payroll function including writing processes and proceduresAssist with payroll projects as requested Skills and experience required: Previous payroll experience, processing 200+ employeesExperience using a large payroll system highly desirableExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to interpret and apply relevant awards, agreements, and legislation to ensure complianceAbility to maintain confidentiality on information at all timesNational Police Clearance and NDIS Clearance (or ability to obtain)Ability to work over the Christmas period What's on offer?
