About Our Client Our client is a large, ASX listed business located in the heart of the Melbourne CBD. Job Description Deliver the Payroll internal compliance program of works.Identification and documentation of payroll risks, controls, and issues.Ensure Payroll services, tools, outputs, and processes are compliant with Enterprise Agreements and relevant Industrial Awards, Policies, legislation, etc.Proactively research and share payroll legislation and changes.Ensure that the Payroll team and other relevant stakeholders understand their Governance and Compliance requirements including privacy, data, payroll/employment related items.Assist with implementing any policy, award, agreement changes in the system in a timely manner.Document and ensure regular review of payroll procedures and processes (with the assistance of the SMEs).Proactively identify and escalate issues or breaches.Participate and deliver payroll audit requirements - this could include gathering and analysing data, presenting information, reviewing/writing reports, and presenting recommendations.Proactively explore and raise improvement ideas to ensure efficiency and compliance.Other ad hoc tasks. The Successful Applicant We are seeking experienced payroll professionals with a passion for payroll compliance. Key competencies listed below:
Payroll Operations, Analyst or Compliance background.Strong attention to detail for accuracy.Proven ability to deliver continuous improvement ideas.Demonstrated understanding of related legislative, regulatory, and statutory obligations.Ability to interpret and understand relevant industrial awards and agreements.Problem-solving capability with a forward-thinking approach.Communication skills both verbally and in writing.
