Ashgrove Baptist is a medium large evangelical Christian community in the suburb of Ashgrove seeking to love God and each other.
We value the revelation of God, meeting together and authentic relationships, along with mission and the message of Jesus. We are seeking a Senior Pastor who values the above, along with valuing active engagement and the contribution each individual has to make.
The Senior Pastor is called by God, and by the Church, to provide spiritual oversight and leadership through:
nurturing and developing a team of leaders, including men and women, as well as those early in ministrymaintaining an inclusive church culture by encouraging active involvement across the whole churchworking collaboratively with Elders, Deacons and other leaders to share spiritual and strategic oversight of the churchTeaching and preaching the Word of God and encouraging the use of those gifts by others in the Church, so that God's Word is intentionally applied for discipleship and missioninspiring the church towards action, equipping for personal discipleship and missionengaging constructively with contemporary issues, carefully balancing Christ's grace and truthAt this stage, we are seeking an expression of interest from qualified applicants.
