It produces a premium, high-grade concentrate product for export to steelmakers.The opportunityWe are currently seeking an experienced Senior Parts Engineer to join our site-based Material Management team, where you will oversee the management, sourcing, and optimization of spare parts and materials critical to maintaining equipment and machinery reliability.This role operates on a 5 days on, 2 days off and 4 days on, 3 days off continuous day shift roster.To be successful in this role the following is essential:An Engineering degree qualification or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management or related fieldWA 'C' Class driver's licenceMinimum of 5 years of experience in parts management or supply chain within a maintenance or industrial environmentStrong knowledge of spare parts sourcing, inventory management, and procurement processesExperience working with CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo) for parts tracking and inventory controlExcellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectivelyStrong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and suppliersDemonstrated ability to manage and optimise parts inventory while maintaining cost controlRelevant certifications in SAP (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate, SAP Master Data Management) are highly desirableA current National Police clearanceTo be eligible to apply for this role you must be legally permitted to work permanently in Australia.Key Duties:Ensuring that the right parts are available at the right time to minimize downtime, enhance operational efficiency, and support overall maintenance strategies.
Contribute to improving the reliability and performance of plant equipment while maintaining cost-effectiveness and compliance with company standards.Additionally, collaborate with maintenance, procurement, and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement in parts management and ensure that spare parts are managed in line with operational needs and safety standards.About Karara MiningLocated 200 km south-east of Geraldton in the Shire of Perenjori, Western Australia, Karara has an expected mine life of 30+ years.
The operation includes a large open pit mine, complex ore processing and beneficiation plant, and significant infrastructure and logistics networks.
