Women's and Children's Health Network & North Adelaide Local Health Network, Neonatal Services, North Adelaide (5006), Elizabeth Vale (5112)Salary: Classification - RN/M3 - Registered Nurse/Midwife LV 3 - $121,537 to $126,970Multiple positions available; Part time FTE; Ongoing PermanentAbout the Opportunity We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Neonatal Services team as a Nurse Practitioner Candidate, where you will be responsible for:
Participating in clinical training and professional development to become a Nurse Practitioner (NP) authorized by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).Enrolling in an accredited Nurse Practitioner Masters course (employment as an NPC depends on this).Meeting the candidacy programme requirements by:Showing progress toward NP authorization.Participating in evaluations and feedback with the clinical supervisory panel.Working with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to:Deliver high-level Nursing and Neonatal care and advice.Act as an expert resource for patients, families, healthcare professionals, and the community.About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 4 years full time equivalent experience, including at least 2 years full time equivalent as a registered nurse in neonatal care, and two years full time equivalent at an advanced practice level in neonatal nursing.Demonstrated ability to work as an autonomous practitioner and/or as part of a multidisciplinary team.Effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation.Experience in developing policies, procedures, and models of care in the relevant area of clinical practice.Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, industrial agreements, standards, codes, ethics and competency standards.Additional Information This recruitment is a collaboration between the Women's and Children's Health Network (WCHN) and the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN).There are three positions available: two based at WCHN and one at NALHN. Applicants must specify their preferred 'home' site, and can apply for both locations.
