Who we are looking for: We are looking for a Senior Operations Supervisor to support our Launceston operations team and supervise
the local team of e-scooter marshals and fleet technicians. You'll be someone who is willing and able to get
hands-on in order to get the job done and grow the business.
What you'll do: It is anticipated that the role will be approximately 20% administrative time and 80% service-delivery or
team development time.
Supervise and Deliver Beam's On-Road and At-Warehouse Operations: Marshal e-scooters using vans, cars, e-bikes, e-scooters or on-foot (as required) and coordinate marshaling priorities across the team Undertake on-road (in-field) and warehouse-based repairs of e-scooters Provide training, support, guidance for the casual marshal and fleet technician team Ensure that all safety procedures are followed on-road and at-warehouse by all team members Respond promptly to resolve any vehicle-related complaints received from the council or community Provide Administrative Functions for the Team and Facilities (with support from Beam's Remote Operations Team) including: Drafting rosters for approval by the Regional Operations Manager and adjusting shifts and personnel dynamically, as required by short-notice changes to availability and in response to changing business needs Undertake regular warehouse and fleet reporting tasks including: warehouse inspections, battery-charging infrastructure checks, TAF counts, stocktakes, and ad-hoc safety and compliance tasks Report incidents and injuries (staff and rider), near-misses, improvement suggestions using the MyBuildings facilities management system Monitor team performance and liaise with the Regional Operations Manager where improvements, corrective actions or interventions might be required Innovate constantly to improve processes, performance and outcomes Support the Regional Operations Manager in other ways as required, including running or coordinating Beam's safety initiatives, implementing procedural changes and providing local customer service. Proactive, hands-on approach with a positive attitude to change, challenges and solving problems Physical ability to undertake the repetitive work required by the position such as moving and loading e-scooters into vans (weight around 35kg) A class C driver licence with an excellent driving record - note that loss of licence may result in termination of employment as it is a critical requirement of the position Ability to supervise staff and develop the respect and trust of the team through your skill set of listening, responding appropriately and demonstrating professional care and compassion Ability to deliver training and performance feedback in an effective manner Willingness to undertake training and fulfill the roles of First Aid Officer and Chief Warden (Fire and Emergencies) for the site Familiar with the use of word-processing and spreadsheet software Strong written and verbal communication skills
