DescriptionWe're growing, which means we are getting (a lot) more serious about security and how the operations of our unique technology platform are run. We need help ensuring the security and smooth operation of business systems and technology infrastructure and need someone to join our team as a Senior Operations & Security Engineer to make sure we're running a tighter ship.
Our team follows a hybrid model working out of our office in Cremorne, so we'd love to see applications from those based in (or willing to relocate to) Melbourne.
Key Responsibilities:You will be responsible for our growing cloud infrastructure, ensuring the security and privacy of our systems and data and managing access for our employees and partners.You will work closely with the Engineering and People teams to ensure that our systems are secure, and perform regular security audits.You will develop and implement security policies, procedures, and guidelines to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as SOC 2, GDPR, and HIPAA.Reporting to the CTO, you will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners to construct compliance strategies.You will provide recommendations and implement security controls to mitigate risks, conduct incident response and investigation, and develop and implement business continuity and disaster recovery plans. What You'll Bring to the Role:To be successful in this role, you'd bring a strong background or experience in a similar security or operations role. Your experience in creating and implementing security policies, procedures, and guidelines, as well as conducting security audits and investigations would be highly sought after for what we're hoping to build.
Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR would also be highly sought after for this role.
We're looking for someone with strong communication skills and the ability to educate and train others on security awareness and best practices, including phishing and scam email prevention. You'll be happy working independently and taking on responsibility for key systems and projects, while also able to work collaboratively with our cross-functional product development teams.
