About the role
Rabobank's Operations Payments & Processing team sits within the Operations area of the COO Domain.
Due to an internal movement, the team has an opening for a Senior Payments Officer.
This role is based in Sydney & will work a hybrid mix of the CBD office & at home.
Reporting to the Team Leader, Payments, you will provide outstanding customer service, value & expertise to existing & potential customers & stakeholders & play a crucial role in the team's success.
Top Role Accountabilities:
Supervise, set up, & delegate daily workloads, ensuring smooth operations
Meet individual performance, behavioural & value-based targets & expectations including productivity, quality & value goals
Proactively manage customer relationships to retain & deepen their relationship with the bank
Identify & address risks proactively to safeguard our operations
Actively participate in team meetings & business initiatives to enhance the overall customer experience
Coach & train colleagues on key processes to ensure consistency & excellence across the team
Proactively action & complete all administrative tasks within timelines
Complete data analysis, review data sets & reconcile accounts as needed
Perform quality assurance on colleagues' work & communicate performance metrics & issues to the Team Leader
Perform other duties as required
To be successful you will have:
5 + years' experience in banking operations
An understanding of Australian transactional banking processes & procedures
A customer service-oriented mindset
Excellent attention to detail
Strong analytical & problem-solving abilities
Sound troubleshooting skills
Good written & verbal communication skills
Be a proven team player
