Reporting to the Director Hotels, this role will be responsible for the successful management and delivery of related building, property and facilities management services for DOMA Hotels.
These services include building maintenance, contract management, the delivery of the scheduled and reactive maintenance plan, asset lifecycle management, efficient utilities usage, environmental and WHS.
The position entails overseeing a growing portfolio of hotel properties for the Group.
The Operations Manager (Facilities) will also lead the Hotels maintenance teams, across multiple locations, and work closely with key internal and external stakeholders across the hotel portfolio.
Key Skills / Qualifications Significant demonstrated Facilities Management experience overseeing hotel assets or complex building operationsTertiary qualified in engineering, business management or related discipline along with a facilities management accreditation10-12+ years minimum experience in facilities management operationsSolid team building skills and the ability to drive strong performance from team membersA strong customer focus with a commitment to customer satisfactionAn ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects simultaneouslyStrong financial acumen including sound procurement experienceContractor management in hotel and commercial building environment/s.High tenacity with the ability to work in a highly demanding and changing environmentFocus on continuous improvement and high-quality deliveryCandidates willing to travel to Canberra and Newcastle on a regular basisKey Responsibilities - Main Duties Accountable for managing the successful and efficient delivery of all Facilities Management services including managing the financial performance of the hotel portfolio building maintenance plansDevelop and maintain an asset lifecycle management rolling program that considers long term plant replacement programs for all propertiesUndertake regular inspections of plant and equipment within the portfolio and provide feedback on condition and suitability to the Director HotelsLead and manage the day-to-day operations and management of DOMA hotels maintenance staff, including the resource allocation, selection, training requirements, development of KPI's and staffing requirementsImplement IT Facilities Management platform across the PortfolioResponsible for delivering superior customer service and liaising with any engaged consultants, contractors, suppliers and other external providers in the best interests of the portfolioManage and maintain building operations to deliver high quality, efficient and cost-effective management of the assigned assetsBuild, maintain and develop strong and positive relationships with key internal and external providersManage operating expenditure, resources, projects, budgeting for the portfolioProduce and present building and financial reporting as required to the Executive teamIndependently develop, implement and manage compliance and governance of scheduled and reactive maintenance activities undertaken by contractors and internal maintenance staffEnsure risk management, WHS, site safety, audit and inspections are completed and compliant.High level written and verbal communication skills, representing DOMA on significant and complex building and infrastructure mattersDevelop and implement standard operating procedures to enable the ongoing management and optimal operation of the assetDevelop and implement emergency responses business continuity plans to ensure resilience within the portfolioDevelop, implement and report on progressive improvement of facilities management policies and procedures relating to Facilities management best practice maintenance and asset management activitiesWork closely with DOMA's Commercial Manager and internal development team, in both the pre-construction and delivery phase of hotel related assets to ensure successful outcomes are achievedManage and support minor procurement activities in relation to scheduled and reactive maintenanceEngage with key external stakeholders including building contractors, maintenance providers, brokers / insurers or other parties as requiredLead and implement environmental and sustainability initiativesWillingness to work outside of hours, sometimes at short notice to achieve business objectivesOther Responsibilities Attend all relevant development, hotels and maintenance key meetings to ensure all deliverables are achieved and aligned to the overall business strategyComplete site visits as required across any assigned DOMA projectAny other tasks as directed by the Director of Hotels and / or Executive teamEnsure the delivery of all assigned tasks to a high level of quality and attention to detailStrong industry knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements #J-18808-Ljbffr
