Your new role
Join our dynamic and high-performing Health & Safety Operations team as a Senior Operations Lead, where every day offers new challenges. You will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of innovative, industry-leading H&S improvement initiatives and driving operational excellence across the business. Your strategic thinking, adaptability, and ability to manage complex tasks under tight deadlines will be key to your success.

Key responsibilities include:
Leading and participating in safety, compliance, and technical investigations, ensuring timely and effective recommendations.Developing and executing continuous improvement initiatives, reviewing processes, and ensuring alignment with compliance standards and business objectives.Driving change management efforts, including the implementation of document updates and amendments to work practices.Collaborating with teams across the business and industry, from field staff to senior leadership, to deliver strategic operational improvements.Supporting audits, producing business cases for productivity initiatives, and preparing regular status reports.Identifying and recommending solutions to operational challenges, contributing to the successful delivery of Ausgrid's Health & Safety Strategy.The Senior Operations Lead will work closely with other Senior Operations Leads and play a pivotal role in Ausgrid's business improvement journey, ensuring safety and compliance while continuously enhancing performance.

Degree qualifications in engineering or business discipline, or advanced diploma with extensive relevant experience in the Electrical Supply IndustryCurrent Electrical Safety Rules accreditation and demonstrated experience working in the energy industryCurrent Drivers License (Class C)Strong organisation, prioritisation and time management skillsEstablished interpersonal skills and experience in engaging with a variety of internal and external stakeholdersHighly developed analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills, enabling effective resolution to complex issuesHighly evident communication skills both written and oral with a customer focus for service deliveryDemonstrated ability to work both as part of a team and independentlyProven high attention to detail and personal initiativeAbility to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive or personal mattersDemonstrated project management skills and experienceDemonstrated experience in conducting complex investigations using ICAM or similar investigation methodology.Proven experience in liaising and negotiating with internal and external stakeholdersAdvanced research, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and analyse data to provide clear and actionable insights
