You will report directly to the Coordinator Open Space Planning, managing, and providing guidance on the preparation, assessment, and implementation of plans strategic documents, and other projects that require landscape architecture and open space planning expertise.
You will have a lead role in the City Strategy team, planning for the public realm and open space development, with the capacity to both lead and work within multi-disciplinary teams and plan for and facilitate effective community and stakeholder engagement.Key ResponsibilitiesManage, motivate and provide advice to the Open Space Planning team, offering expertise in open space planning, project management, and strategic outcomes.Review and manage plans, strategies, policies, and guidelines related to open space and participate and lead in the development of policy.Provide key input into the prioritisation of and planning for active and passive open space areas.Undertake community consultation activities to ensure the community have an awareness of, and opportunities for input into the preparation of Open Space Planning projects.To view the Position Description, click here.About youTo be successful in this role you will have the following:Tertiary qualification in Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning, Recreation Planning or related discipline with several years of subsequent relevant experience or lesser formal qualifications with extensive relevant experience.Experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams, preparing project briefs, and delivering high quality outputs.Highly developed analytical and lateral thinking skills and demonstrated experience in solving complex problems relating to the use, design, delivery and maintenance of open space.Experience in undertaking community consultation on a range of projects.Current valid Victorian Driver's Licence.Culture and ValuesOur vision for our community is to be: "A vibrant, safe and liveable city accessible to all" and that means there's a place here for you too.
