About the Ngaanyatjarra Council
Welcome to Ngaanyatjarra Lands, a vibrant tapestry of culture and community nestled within the vast beauty of the Australian desert.
Home to approximately 2000 Yarnangu (Ngaanyatjarra people) across 11 unique communities, our council is dedicated to preserving and celebrating our rich heritage spanning over 10,000 years and 250,000 square kilometres.
Established in 1981, the Ngaanyatjarra Council Group (NCG) represents the interests of the Ngaanyatjarra People across the 11 communities in the Central Desert region of Western Australia.
Employing in excess of 450 people, NCG provides a wide range of services, including health, utilities, construction, employment, community development, shops, roadhouses, art centres and land services.
It is one of the largest and most successful Indigenous organizations in the country.

The Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Ngaanyatjarra Services team as a Senior Payroll Officer .
In this vital role, you'll play a key part in supporting our People & Culture and Finance teams by ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of payroll across the Ngaanyatjarra group.

About You:
You are a meticulous and proactive professional with a solid background in payroll and financial services.
You have a minimum of 3 years of payroll experience, including working with payroll systems, particularly the Attaché accounting package, and you bring a high level of accuracy to your work.
You have a keen understanding of the payroll function, including comprehensive knowledge of Modern Awards and compliance with relevant legislation.
With excellent communication skills, you are adept at handling inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining confidentiality.
Your ability to work independently and as part of a team, combined with your commitment to delivering exceptional service, makes you a strong fit for this role.
You have a knack for using initiative, managing multiple tasks efficiently, and ensuring all payroll processes are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
