The Construction Workplace Licensing and Registration Section (the Section) is primarily responsible for the assessment, maintenance and ongoing management of construction-related licences and registrations administered under:
The Construction Occupations (Licensing) Act 2004 (COL Act)The Architects Act 2004 (the AR Act)The Property Developers Act 2024 (the PD Act)The Professional Engineers Act 2023 (the PE Act)The Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (the WHS Act)Reporting to the Director and/or Senior Director, you will be a Deputy Construction Occupations Registrar responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of a unit within the Section. This involves direct management and supervision of team leaders and licensing officers administering a variety of licensing and registration decisions under various construction-related legislation.
In addition to day-to-day operations, you will also be responsible for the delivery of key projects and government commitments on behalf of your unit, the Section and Branch. You will lead your unit's engagement activities with industry, registered training organisations, other ACT Government directorates, interstate authorities, federal organisations, and compliance officers across the Branch in the delivery of theirs and their team's work.
