Business Manager - Finance & Administration
Full-time Temporary with a Possibility of PermanencyDetails: Wanniassa School is excited to announce an opening for a dynamic School Business Manager (Finance and Administration) to join our team. If you are a proactive leader with a genuine passion for educational excellence, we would love to hear from you. In this role, you will provide strong leadership and strategic vision, working collaboratively with staff and stakeholders to enhance student outcomes.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in advising and supporting the principal on all facets of Finance and Administration. This position entails managing both day-to-day activities and long-term strategies, fostering continuous improvement in service delivery, and leading staff to achieve business objectives. Additionally, you will be responsible for setting priorities, monitoring workflow, and developing procedures and practices tailored to the school's unique needs.
Requirements for this role include a demonstrated capacity to prioritize and manage workflows in accordance with Directorate policies and procedures. The successful candidate will possess outstanding communication and liaison skills to effectively engage with a diverse array of clients. Experience in a dynamic and evolving school environment is strongly preferred.

Eligibility/Other requirements:
Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to - Apply for or renew a WWVP registration - Access Canberra.
Highly Desirable: Qualification or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance or related field.Experience in a business-related role and financial qualifications and/or relevant experience.Knowledge of office practices and procedures.Knowledge of Xero.Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and Google Suite.First Aid qualification or a willingness to undertake appropriate training.Asbestos Awareness Training or a willingness to undertake appropriate training.Notes:
A merit pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. This is a temporary position available immediately with the possibility of extension up to less than 12 months and/or permanency.
