The Office of the Deputy Director-General, Policy and Transformation is seeking a talented, dedicated, and delivery-focused individual to lead and support the Deputy Director-General and the team.
In this role, you will be responsible for the provision of executive support, the coordination of government business, and leading the administration team by mentoring and supporting staff.
The ideal candidate will possess highly developed written and oral communication skills, be adaptable and responsive, and quickly acquire knowledge and understanding of complex situations and subject matter. You will lead a team to deliver policy advice and business cases for a range of health and social policies. You will be committed to maintaining high-quality systems and practices, fostering a collaborative approach, and exercising sound judgement, flexibility, and discretion.

Eligibility/Other Requirements: Experience in an executive officer/government business role or qualification in government business/administration will be considered favourably.
Prior to commencement, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police Check.
Notes: This is a temporary position available for up to 12 months with the possibility of extension and/or permanency. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill similar vacancies over the next 12 months.
