As an Environmental Health Officer/Senior Environmental Health Officer, at the City you will be responsible for: Providing a high standard of health surveillance, advice and services Liaising with City staff, industry personnel, community groups, schools, businesses, local, state and federal government departments and the public to ensure the delivery of the City's environmental health services Assisting with the development and implementation of health promotion and education campaigns Preparing, reviewing and maintaining local laws, policies, plans and procedures Performing inspections and investigations and actioning matters as necessary Do you have: Bachelor of Applied Science in Environmental Health or other relevant qualification to be appointed as an EHO as gazetted 13 June 2017 by the CHO under Section 18 of the Public Health Act 2016 (for any other overseas qualifications for an EHO to submit an application to the WA EHO Professional Review Board Knowledge of relevant Acts, Regulations and Local Laws High level communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to resolve conflict and negotiate Experience in enforcement, compliance, and education programs Ability to provide specialist advice and apply knowledge of procedures and policies We are looking for a true team player who can work autonomously with initiative, solve problems, and always display professionalism. Special requirements Our successful candidate will need to have to have a current satisfactory National Police Screening, a current 'C' class drivers licence, and the right to work in Australia.
