The Ipswich Head to Health (HTH) Centre, funded by Darling Downs and West Morton PHN, offers inclusive, low-stigma mental health services, providing assessment, triage, referrals, and immediate support. It caters to individuals at all levels of need, fostering an innovative and flexible approach to service delivery.
The opportunity:
Join our team at Head to Health Ipswich as a Senior Occupational Therapist. Under the guidance of the Clinical Lead, you'll utilise your skills to provide high-quality, discipline specific and mental health evidence-based interventions for consumers' mental health needs, incorporating recovery, strength-based, and trauma-informed approaches. You'll also supervise both clinical and non-clinical staff while managing a 0.75 full-time workload caseload.
On a day-to-day basis you will: Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy services, encompassing individual and group interventions, comprehensive formulation, screening, and assessment for consumers.Offer high-level consultation, assessment, and intervention to Head to Health consumers where occupational therapy is indicated due to high-level needs related to work, lifestyle, context, or trauma affecting their well-being.Offer advanced brief therapeutic interventions to consumers, employing a diverse array of evidence-based methodologies such as psychoeducation, CBT, DBT, IPT, ACT, and SFT, tailored to address intricate and multifaceted presentations effectively.Advocate for mental health needs of consumers, provide client-centered care, provide clinical supervision, and support onsite student placements.Uphold confidentiality, comply with legislative requirements, and actively participate in clinical reviews and team discussions.Benefits to you:

About you:
Are you a professional, innovative, and caring clinician who thrives as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and enjoys working with a wide range of external stakeholders involved in providing health, mental health, and psychosocial services? 
We're also looking for:
Tertiary qualifications in occupational therapy from an accredited institution and registration with AHPRA.Experience in mental health services, delivering high-quality therapeutic interventions with a focus on solution-oriented approaches.Skills in assessing, formulating, and providing evidence-based treatments for mental health disorders.Competency in conducting risk assessments, crisis intervention planning, and implementing effective risk management strategies.Knowledge of mental health systems, government policies, legislation, and professional standards.Commitment to fostering inclusive cultures promoting human rights and diversity.About Open Minds Integrated Mental Health Services: At Open Minds our values of Integrity, Curiosity, Together, People Centered and Respect are the foundation of our organisational culture.
