Position Profile: The Senior Occupational Therapist as part of a multidisciplinary team, plans, implements, coordinates and evaluates Occupational Therapy services to patients in the clinical area of Adult Community Mental Health using advanced Occupational Therapy clinical practice skills. Plans, implements and evaluates patient safety and quality of care. Supervises Occupational Therapy staff and support staff in the unit/clinical area, coordinates duties and manages performance. Practices as a Senior Occupational Therapist and ensures practice is in accordance with the Occupational Therapy professional and registration requirements, standards, codes and guidelines and EMHS policies and guidelines.
Area Profile: Bentley Health Service (BHS) is a specialist hospital located 11km from the Perth CBD and forms part of the Royal Perth Bentley Group. BHS provides quality healthcare to the community, specialising in the delivery of mental health care, aged care services, obstetrics, and rehabilitation. Midland Community Mental Health Service is situated in the heart of Midland, is easily accessible via public transport and is close to the Midland Gate Shopping Centre. It is a multidisciplinary Tertiary Mental Health Service providing specialist Psychiatric Care and Care Coordination for eligible consumers aged from 18 in the Swan/Hills catchment. Multidisciplinary teams work with consumers to achieve their Recovery Goals and return to primary care in the community.
